Foster Reed Gamble, age 71, passed way Thursday, September 18, 2025, in his home. He was born November 4, 1953, in Russell County, VA to the late John Gamble and the late Eula Wilson Gamble.
Foster owned and operated Southwest Appliance Services for many years. He loved to play chess, cards, and work on anything.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gamble, brothers, Clyde Gamble, Clinton Gamble, Mark Gamble, and Jack Gamble.
Foster is survived by his daughter, Sandra Gomez and husband, Hugo; sister, Gail Sykes and husband, Ron; brothers, Rush Gamble and wife, Mary, Wayne Gamble and wife, Ruby, and Mack Gamble; grandchildren, Tony Gomez and fiancé, Sophie, Grayson Gomez, Tavi Gomez, and Mariana Gomez; great-granddaughter, Idalia Gomez; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 5-7 pm with the funeral to follow at 7pm with Randy Williams officiating. The burial service will be 11 am, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in the Ketron Memorial Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
