Frances Aliene (Barnard) Blauser

83, of Amarillo, Texas, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by her family on October 9, 2025, at her home.

Born July 20, 1942, in Higgins, Texas, to William Clark and Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Barnard, Aliene grew up in Higgins and attended Higgins Public Schools from first grade through graduation with the Class of 1960.

After high school, Aliene moved to Amarillo, Texas, where she began working at Lee Optical. She later spent a brief period living in Charleston, South Carolina, before returning to Texas. It was soon after that she met the love of her life, Darl Eugene Blauser, and the two were married in 1962 in Big Lake, Texas. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with four children: Terry Todd, Sheri deVaun, Barry Kent, and Kari Lyn.

Throughout their years together, Aliene and Darl made their home in several communities, including Hobbs, New Mexico; Baltimore, Ohio; Mangum, Oklahoma; and Big Spring, Texas. During her years as a homemaker, Aliene devoted herself to raising her family with love and care. Later, she worked for the City of Mangum, handling bookkeeping and administrative duties, and then for the Big Spring Education Credit Union after the family relocated to Big Spring. After Darl's passing, Aliene later lived in Edmond, Oklahoma, and eventually settled back in Amarillo, Texas, where she spent her remaining years surrounded by loved ones.

Aliene was baptized at the age of twelve in the Church of Christ and later attended the First Baptist Church of Amarillo. She was a woman of deep faith, devotion, and kindness. She found joy in reading, sewing, and crafting, and she especially loved dancing with "Daddy." Bowling was one of her great passions - she bowled competitively for many years and was an active member of leagues in both Hobbs and Mangum.

But above all, Aliene's greatest passion was her family - especially being a mother and, perhaps even more so, a grandmother. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of warmth that only she could bring.

Aliene embraced every stage of life with grace and generosity. She was a faithful daughter, devoted sister, loving wife, affectionate mother, proud grandmother, adoring great-grandmother, and loyal friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clark and Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Barnard; her beloved husband, Darl Eugene Blauser; her son, Barry Kent Blauser; her brothers, Henry Charles Barnard, Billy Dean Barnard, and David Charles Barnard; and her brother-in-law, Ned Maston.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Terry Todd Blauser and wife Abbe of Austin, TX; her daughters, Sheri deVaun Blauser-Leckie of College Station, TX, and Kari Lyn (Blauser) Howard and husband Ronald Ray of Amarillo, TX; her sister, Betty Jean (Barnard) Maston of Edmond, OK; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six nieces; six nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Aliene's loving, joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
