Frances Skibbe, 78, of Dowagiac, MI passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Clark Chapel – Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St, Dowagiac, where friends may visit with his family from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Frances was born April 11, 1947, in Chesterton, IN to John & Betty (Betts) Martin. On December 1, 1984, she married Frank Skibbe in Westville, IN. Frances worked for Possis Medical Group in Minnesota for many years. She was a member of the Dowagiac First United Methodist Church where she was involved in the woman's bible study. Frances enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, sewing and genealogy. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, going for rides in the countryside and her cats Sassy and Lucy.
Frances is survived by her husband Frank Skibbe; children Tina Bailey, Christine (Kenny) Woodruff, Frank (Christina) II Skibbe, Michele Burnett and Bobbie (John) Montgomery; grandchildren James Swiger, Michael Swiger, Nicholas Woodruff, Cameron Bailey, Rachael Bailey, Misty Wert, Meagan Juarez, Michael Lawler, Hannah Skibbe, Gabriel Skibbe, Justin Skibbe and Jacob Montgomery; many great grandchildren; siblings Jayne Braddy and Larry (Brenda) Martin.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brian Swiger and Sister Vicky Martin.
