Francis Hampton Howard, 90, of Dellwood, FL, died Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Jackson Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Leila Howard; his wife of forty-seven years, Lounette Kent Howard; his daughter, Debra Kapusta; his son, Terry Howard; and two of his sisters, Eva Lucas and Dorothy Seller.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of the past twenty years, Mary Nell Howard; his brother, Robert Howard; his sister, Priscilla Paxton; his son-in-law, Bryan Kapusta; three grandsons, Wade Kapusta, Shawn Kapusta, and Eric Kapusta; one granddaughter, Melissa, and her husband, Jon Cornman; great-grandchildren, Patricia Kapusta, Allie Hayes, Myla Kapusta, Hunter Kapusta, and two others; and one great-great-grandson, Clay Kapusta. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Cliff Sullivan, and his wife, Wilma, Lisa Hutchison and her husband, Thomas; four step-grandchildren, Lyan, Garrison, Katie, and Kristin; two step-great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday, July 7, 2025, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Gary Gable officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in White Pond Baptist Cemetery in Alford with military honors given by the United States Navy. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
