Francisco "Pancho" Hernandez, Sr. went to his eternal rest on September 14, 2025.Pancho was born in San Diego, Texas to Zaragoza and Olivia Hernandez on July 4, 1930.

Pancho was the heart of the family. He loved nothing more than sitting at the kitchen table, telling stories that always made his family laugh, or his offering of quiet advice that somehow came at the right time. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, whether it was through his stories, his laughter or the quiet strength he carried in every moment. His love for music and you could often find him sitting outside with his music blaring his favorite norteno tunes. His love was steady his humor was quick and his love for his family was constant. He will be missed but his family will carry his stories, his legacy lives on the values he instilled and the memories he created with all of us.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Herlinda "Linda" Hernandez, and siblings; Horacio Hernandez, Janie Hernandez, Zaragoza Hernandez Jr., Maria Louisa Quintanilla, Laura Rendon, Antonilia Hernandez, Carlos Cantu, and Elva Trevino.
