Frank Hamrick Obituary

Frank Marshall Hamrick, 89, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025. He was born in Wilton, Alabama to the late Ernest Hamrick and Ruby (Binion) Smith. He lived in Springfield, Missouri before moving to St. Cloud, Florida in 2011. Frank was a Catholic by faith and married Dorothy Hamrick who preceded him in death. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving for 8 years as a Corporal, entering the service in 1954 and discharged from the reserves in 1962. After his service, Frank started his 25-year career as a Plant Operations Manager in the Food Processing and Distribution industry. Lastly, he used his experience in the Military Police to retire from working in security. Though he had a deep love for his uniform, he could be found enjoying leisurely activities such as fishing, hunting, collecting firearms and gardening.
Surviving are his Sons: Daniel (Maria) Hamrick of Indianapolis, Indiana, Charles (Cheryl) Hamrick of Denver, Colorado, Gerald Hamrick of Winter Park, Florida and Frank Hamrick Jr. of Merritt Island, Florida. Daughter; Sherilynn (Raymond) Palm of St. Cloud, Florida. Half-sister; Jeanette Mathews of Alabaster, Alabama. He was blessed with 16 grand-children and 21 great grand-children.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents: Ernest Hamrick and Ruby Smith. Wife; Dorothy Hamrick. Son; Steven Hamrick. Step-daughter; Patricia Bacher. Brothers; Ernest Owen Hamrick, Robert Hamrick and George "Lester" Hamrick. Sister; Louise (Reeder) Hamrick.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Frank Marshall Hamrick on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Parish Hall, 2745 Canoe Creek Road St. Cloud, Florida 34772.
