Frank Near Obituary

He was born on March 18, 1958 to Dale and Elvina (Harris) Near in Hayward. He grew up in the Barron area and graduated from Barron High School. After graduating, Frank went to work for Jennie-O Turkey Store Company, working there his whole career.
He enjoyed photography and vintage railroad lamps. He also enjoyed watching movies. He attended the Evangelical Free Methodist Church.
Frank is survived by his brothers, Barry (Cheryl) Near of Clayton and Daniel (Beverly) Near of Rose Hill, Kansas; as well as nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service for Frank will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Free Methodist Church in Barron with Pastor Frank Distad officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at the Evangelical Free Methodist Church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.
Arrangements are being handled by Rausch and Steel Funeral Home in Barron. Online condolences can be made at www.rauschandsteelfuneralhome.com.
