Frank Santoro, III was born on Feb 29, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Lillian Santoro. He attended High School in Chicago at Kelly High. Upon graduation he moved to Tucson, Arizona and joined the Tucson Fire Department becoming a second generation firefighter. Frank worked his way up to Battalion Chief and retired in 1986 with 25 years of service. Frank loved fishing, RVing & boating. You never wanted to miss a meal if Frank was cooking as he had a special talent in the kitchen. He always enjoyed a dish of ice cream and a good chat on the porch in the evenings. Frank was competitive when it came time for cards and would often be the winner. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. He was a member of Seniors For Kids in Sun City where he made toys for children in his free time. Frank was married to the love of his life for over 60 years. His family always came first and he dedicated his whole life to them. Simply put, Frank was extraordinary and he will be missed beyond measure. Frank is preceded in death by his son Steven Santoro. He is survived by his wife Sandy Santoro, son David Santoro and Granddaughter Amber Santoro. Services will take place at the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N 1st Ave in Oro Valley, Arizona on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:00 am.
