Fred Narlock, 95, of Fargo, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Bethany on University in Fargo.

Fred Norman Narlock was born on September 30, 1929 at St. John's Hospital, Fargo, ND, to Joseph "Joe" and Ruth (Esser) Narlock. He grew up in Fargo, spending one year of his childhood in Casselton, ND, and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1948. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and was stationed in the Great Lakes, Millington, TN, Green Cove Springs, FL, and served on the USS Daly (DD-519).

Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Fred took a civil service test and as a result he worked U.S. Postal Service for over 40 years. He first lived in St. Paul, MN for about 5 years, and returned to his hometown of Fargo where he remained for the rest of his life.

Fred loved collecting model trains and enjoyed trips taken to Arizona with his cousin Sharon and her husband Ron.

Fred was baptized and confirmed in First Lutheran Church of Fargo, where he was a lifelong member.

Fred is survived by many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: Friday, July 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, North Dakota.
