Kirby Dale Proffitt, age 59, passed away September 11, 2025. Kirby was born December 14, 1965 to Kenneth Proffitt and Pearlie Mae Talley.
Kirby was an expert craftsman and enjoyed making jewelry boxes, keepsake boxes and all types of wood-working pieces. He was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memories include his father, Kenneth Proffitt and his wife, Colleen Proffitt; his mother, Pearlie Mae Talley; brothers, Wendell Proffitt and Kevin Proffitt; special friend, Anita Hopkins; numerous half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Proffitt Cemetery with Marty Trivette officiating. Pallbearers will be the men of Doe Valley Baptist Church.
The family requests all food be taken to Kirby's home, 835 Spear Branch Rd, Mountain City, TN 37683.
