Frieda Ellen Perfetti, 86, of Coffeen, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 2:15 p.m. on July 14, 2025, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro, Illinois. She was born a daughter of Paul Francis & Edna Marie (Kimbro) Jones on August 7, 1938, in Coffeen, Illinois. She married the late Roy Perfetti on July 30, 1965, in the Coffeen home of Rev. Harry Ernest McCollum.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family - her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren, who brought light to every one of her days. Frieda had a deep love for music and found comfort and happiness in playing the guitar and singing religious songs to church friends and family.
She enjoyed her coffee talks with friends at the local bakery, loved to laugh, share stories, and just being together with the people she cared about. She was very energetic and enjoyed working outside in her yard. Above all, Frieda lived a life of service, love, and devotion by giving fully of herself and leaving lasting memories in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Mrs. Perfetti is survived by her sons, Don Perfetti of Greenville & Paul (Claire Hamblin) Perfetti of Coffeen; grandchildren, Isaak "Ike" (Elizabeth Yeager) Perfetti, Cy (Kari Hake) Perfetti, Kaela (Cody) Payne, Anthony (Madeline May) Perfetti; and great-grandchildren, Charolette "Charli", Lillian "Lilli", Oakley "Oak", Kip, Navy, & Ryman; along with several nieces and nephews.
Frieda was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy Perfetti; her parents; brother, James Jones; and sister, Marie Cole.
A private family service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, with burial in Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen. Hough Funeral Home is assisting the Perfetti family.
