Gabrielle "Gaby" Elisabeth Bechtler-Myers, 37, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away July 21, 2025.
Gaby is survived by her mother - Nancy Hanna, father - Timothy Bechtler, Opa - John Bechtler, grandfather - Charles Hanna, sisters - Petra (Lori) Vance and Lindsey (John) Aldrich, brothers - John Bechtler, Adam (Estelle) Bechtler , nieces and nephews - Nyle, Sloane, and Asher, she left behind her beloved cat, Becky, her friend and former husband - Greg Myers, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her Oma - Irmgard Javis.

Gaby was a beautiful, witty, intelligent, and family-oriented woman. She was incredibly thoughtful and generous towards her friends, family, and all living creatures. While she had a particular fondness of cats, she had a gentle and compassionate heart for all animals, especially those in need of love or rescue. Gaby could fill a room with laughter with her unique and vibrant sense of humor. Those around her loved and appreciated her quirky style, fondness of cheetah print, and her various forms of artistic expression.

Gaby, your radiant smile lit up our world, a beacon of joy that warmed every heart you touched. Your boundless love for your kitties and fearless spirit inspired us to dream bigger...and live braver. The ache of your absence at 37 is profound, but your kindness, your spark, and the love you shared with Greg, your family, and friends will forever echo in our lives.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning“s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die."

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

You never really leave a place you're loved,
Part of it you take with you,
Leaving a part of you behind.

Gaby was always so compassionate, loving and kind to me.
October 12, 2025 she gave me a ride home from Sandusky to my home in Norwalk. She took me by the house that she had bought and then she took me to my home. She got out of the car gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek, she looked me in the eye and said Grandapa I love you so very much. I said to her Gaby I love you so very much also.
Thanksgiving Day 2024 she brought me a Thanksgiving dinner.
Surely she lived by the Golden Rule in the NIV Bible Luke 6:31 "Do to them as you would have them do to you".
