Elizabeth Gail Wrublewski, age 66, of Wonder Lake, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Gail was born on July 27, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond and Kathryn (Bullington) Burkhead. She grew up in Chicago and eventually moved out to the suburbs. Gail retired from the daycare industry in 2020. She had a strong love for babies, especially her grandchildren. Family was the most important thing to Gail, and she was the glue that held everyone together. In 2022, Gail was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). She fought a courageous battle with the help of wonderful doctors and nurses whom she loved at City of Hope. Elizabeth Gail Wrublewski was deeply loved and will be forever missed by her family and friends. Her memory will remain in their hearts for eternity.

She is survived by her husband, John 'Jack'; mother, Kathryn; children, Heather Canada, Sarah (Christopher Broz) Canada, Jared (Courtney) Barrow; stepchildren, Zachariah Wrublewski, Christopher (Elizabeth) Wrublewski, Stephanie (Tanner) Hintzman; grandchildren, Jaida, Addison, Maximus; step-grandchildren; Skylie, Maliyah, Maverick, Elodie, Ophelia, Evangeline, Archie, Natalie, Michael; brothers, David (Cindy) Burkhead, Michael (Melissa) Bevins; and several nephews.

Gail is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Burkhead and stepfather, Claude Bevins.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 9am-11am at Wonder Lake Bible Church, 7511 Howe Road, Wonder Lake, IL. 60097. Followed by a celebration of life service at 11am.

Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, 3722 Greenwood Road, Woodstock, IL. 60098.
