Gary Lee Campbell, age 72, passed away on Thursday June 26, 2025, in Oconto Falls. Gary was born on Christmas Day in 1952 in Green Bay to the late Stanley and Lucille (Hansen) Campbell. Gary graduated from Ashwaubenon High School where he enjoyed wrestling. He went on to wrestle at UW Superior and then earned his nursing degree from Bellin College. On July 31, 1976, Gary was united in marriage to Bonnie Huff at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Gary loved sports, he was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed coaching and refereeing soccer and basketball. He enjoyed fishing and cherished spending time at the lake house. A wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Gary's memory are: his wife of 49 years, Bonnie; children, Christopher (Samantha) Campbell and Dr. Tiffany (Dr. Stephen) Love; four grandchildren, Macy Campbell, Teya Campbell, Ava Love and Ian Love; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sharon Schneider, Merle (Carol) Huff, David (Sharon) Huff, Darrell (significant other, Brenda) Huff, Barb (Dave) Bloomer, Terri (Brian) Bartmann and Brian (Terry) Huff. He is further survived by a brother, Wayne (Heidi) Campbell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Lucille; and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Marv Schneider, Jerry Huff and Dee Huff Pasterski.
A funeral service for Gary will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday July 6, 2025, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Pastor Robert Christman officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with service to follow.
