Gary Lee Canfield
Of Eaton Rapids, MI, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on April 15, 1953, in Reed City, MI, and raised in Leslie, where he graduated with the Class of 1971.
Gary's strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his career. He began working at Deetz Janitorial before moving on to Barnes Aerospace, where he remained until his retirement in 2018. Outside of work, Gary found joy and excitement in the outdoors and motorsports. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and dirt bikes and was an avid fan of sprint car racing. He also loved fishing and spending time in nature, especially in his backyard, where he enjoyed bird watching. A devoted animal lover, Gary cherished the many dogs who were a part of his life over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Wanda (Sonnenberg) Canfield, and his brother, Carl Canfield. Surviving are his beloved wife, Teresa (Fellows) Canfield; children, Gary Canfield, Jr. and Shasta (Zachary) Jaggers; grandchildren, Katarina and Aidien Jaggers; along with extended family and many friends who will remember him fondly.
In keeping with Gary's wishes, no services are planned at this time. Those wishing to honor his memory are encouraged to make contributions to the Eaton County Humane Society. To share memories or leave condolences, please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com.
