Gary L. Haycraft, 82, of Searcy, passed away July 23, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 22, 1943, in Forrest City, to the late Leon and Virginia (Jackson) Haycraft. Gary graduated from Forrest City High School in the early 1960's and soon after joined the National Guard. He later went on to work for Southwestern Bell telephone company for 33 years. Gary was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed spending his time fishing and being at the lake. He is survived by his son, Gary Haycraft (Tina) of Booneville, MS; three grandchildren, Tyler Hancock of Booneville, MS, Gabrielle Haycraft of Lewisville, TX, and Genna Haycraft of Booneville, MS; six great grandchildren, Aaiden Hancock, Kylie Hancock, Ruger Hancock, MJ Hughes, Eilynn Haycraft, and K'hyzen McIntosh; special friend, Frances Mathews; bonus daughters, Tammy Jackson, Kelly Parson, and Tracy Bailey; and bonus grandchildren, Jake Lawson, Hannah Lawson, James Aaron Parson, and Matthew Parson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Virginia Haycraft; and bonus grandson, Garrett Parson. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net

So sorry for your loss. My kids grew up spending time with Gary and he came to all their life events like graduation etc from preschool til recent. He was one of dad's best friends.
