Gary Wayne Pryor, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Hagerstown, MD, surrounded by loving family.
Born on May 18, 1943, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Thelma L. (Stouffer) and Percy J. Pryor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Theresa J. (Taylor) Pryor.
Gary graduated from North Hagerstown High School, class of 1961.
Gary served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1964 to 1970.
Gary was a Master Plumber, retiring from the City of Hagerstown after 19 years of service as a Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector.
Gary was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, MD. He was also a lifetime member of North American Rod & Gun Club, Hagerstown, MD, and a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his Son, Gary J. "Jim" Pryor and wife, Julie, of Burton, MI; Daughters, Marnie Pryor of Hagerstown, MD, Julie Boward and husband, Galvin, of Kearneysville, WV; Grandchildren, Taylor Boward, Harrison Pryor, Garrick Boward (Jessica), Carter Pryor, Maddie Pryor and Grayden Boward (Corrina); Great Grandchildren, Ganin, Gavyn, Oakley and Lorelei; Sisters, Shirley Cunningham and Sandra Graber (Kenneth); and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 2:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783, with Pastor officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 216 N. Cleveland Ave. Hagerstown, MD 21740.
