Carr, Gene Graham, age 91, of Waverly, VA, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2025. He was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth Carr. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Carolyn Herring Carr, his brothers, J.C. Carr, Jr. and James Carr, his daughter-in-law, Ruth Babb Carr and a grandson, Justin Carr.
Gene was a member of Waverly Congregational Christian Church and retired from Prince Geoge Electric Co-op after 42 years of faithful service. He enjoyed fishing and was a master furniture craftsman.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Keith Carr and Brian Carr and his wife Pam all of Waverly; grandchildren Tiffany Hettinger, Krystina Carr and Phoebe Carr; and great-grandchildren Gabrial and Gavin Hettinger.
A graveside service will be held in Waverly Cemetery, Spring Branch Rd. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Chuck Willman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waverly Congregational Christian Church, P.O. Box 636, Waverly, VA 23890 or Waverly Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583, Waverly, VA 23890. R.W.
