Mrs. Geneva Kelly, 86, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, October 20, 1938, to the late Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr. and Verda Pitts Long. She was a member of Corinth Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kelly is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Kelly; parents, Dewitt Talmadge Long, Sr. and Verda Pitts Long; three brothers, Leo Long, Talmadge Long, Jr., and Albert Long; five sisters, Mary Nell Prince, Pauline Foxworth, Myrtle Holcomb, Mattie McIlwain, and Voncile Verda Long. She is survived by two sons, Johnny Ray Kelly and James Kelly (Carol); two daughters, Donna Hopkins and Laura Kelly; sister, Annie Griffith; Sister-In-Law, Janet Long, all of Waynesboro, MS; six grandchildren, Samantha Kelly (Shane), Blake Kelly, Matt Owen (Heather), Amanda Hopkins, Brady Kelly (Felicia), and Owen Kelly (Courtney); four great grandchildren, Brayton Kelly, Anna Jaye Kelly, Emerson Owen, and Bryce Kelly; a host of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Kelly will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 21, 2025, at Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Norman Nowell officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
