George Crow, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, Illinois. Born on October 22, 1964, in Highland Park, Illinois, George lived a life marked by generosity, dedication, and a deep love for his family and community. He was the cherished son of the late George Crow Jr. and Teresa Clemente, and also had a dear stepmother, the late Betty Crow and survived by his stepfather Bernardino Nunez. George graduated from Rushville High School in 1982 and served his country in the United States Army. He went on to work as an underwater welder, demonstrating remarkable skill and determination. For 28 years, he owned and operated GC Trucking Company, earning a reputation for integrity and service. On December 24, 1993, George married Jacqueline Jean Logan in Rushville, Illinois. His whole world revolved around his beloved wife Jacque, his three daughters-Alexandra Crow of Quincy, Illinois; Tabitha Crow (Nicole) of Colorado; and Tosha Crow of Rushville, Illinois-and especially his treasured grandsons: Luca Clayton, Jaxon Eaton, Liam Jennings, and Jasper Bennett. Their love and joy were the greatest blessings in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Some of his happiest days were spent fishing with his girls and grandsons, passing on his love of the outdoors and creating memories that will last forever. George's siblings include Steve Crow of Iowa; Kevin Crow of Bolingbrook, Illinois; Vicki Brudnicki (Greg) of Oak Forest, Illinois; Vanessa Leon (Rodrigo) of Blue Island, Illinois; Katherine Crow (Amber) of Chicago, Illinois; and Cristina Mallon of Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Crow. He is also survived by step-sisters Carmen Cooley of Meredosia, Illinois; Shelly Smith Holder (Ron) of Versailles, Illinois; and Dodi Smith Luckett (Roger) of Meredosia, Illinois, and was preceded in death by his step-sister, Stacy Livingston. George's adventurous spirit was matched by his love for the beach, where he treasured time spent with Jacque, relaxing by the water and soaking up the sun. A passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan, he enjoyed working on cars, cruising on his motorcycle, and was always ready to share a story or lend a helping hand. His generous spirit extended to all he met, considering many friends as family. George was a member of The Faith Family Church and the Rushville Moose Lodge, embodying the values of service, faith, and community throughout his life. A celebration of George's life will be held on July 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Triplett officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made in his honor to the Schuyler County Humane Society. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten
