George Hardman Obituary

George was born June 1, 1934, in Harrisville, West Virginia to the late Bruce and Blye (Davisson) Hardman. He was a 1952 Harrisville High School graduate and earned his Bachelor's degree in Dairy Production from West Virginia University. George honorably served in the United States Army, and actually served at the same time as Elvis Presley and did Elvis' enlistment paperwork. He then went on to work various dairy management jobs for 30 years. On April 16, 1960, he married the love of his life Mary Ann (Snider). George was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown, and was a fan of all Ohio sports. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a very proud coach of his son's little league team.
George is survived by his children Terri (Doug) Allen, and Tom (Mindy) Hardman; his grandchildren Kerianne Hardman, Emma Hardman, Stephanie (Anthony) Johnson, and Matt Ellis (Samantha Kiser); his great-grandchildren Faith and Ava Johnson; his siblings Jim (Jo) Hardman and Raymond (Dot) Hardman; and many other family and friends.
Along with his parents, George was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-six years Mary Ann (Snider) who passed away January 16, 1997; his children Jeff (Brenda) Hardman and Julie Hardman; and his siblings Ed (Opal) Hardman, Bob (Betty) Hardman, and Peg (Pete) Baltzly.
A visitation will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at West Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Don Hardman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's name to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
