Mr. George A. Pettry of Geraldine, Alabama, age 75, passed away on June 6, 2025 at his residence.
A private service will be held at a later date.

George Pettry was born in Beckley, WV on 11/14/1949. He was a devout Christian, always willing to talk about the Lord, pray for those who needed prayer and help others any way he could. He was an animal lover and had many beloved pets over the years. He spent many years as a preacher in his brother's church in Belle Glade, FL. He was a tradesman who worked as a painter, later working for the Palm Beach County School District as a supervisor over the painting team. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa/PopPop, and great grandpa. He was married to Marigene for 47 years and together they had 3 children: Tammi, Joe and Ginny (Will). 7 Grandchildren: Hannah, Cory, Kyle Mikayla, Donovan, Emily and Tammi. He had 2 Great Grandchildren: George and Miles. He was an avid reader and enjoyed learning languages and was happy to use his knowledge while visiting Germany.
He will be greatly missed and remembered as a great man, husband, dad and grandpa. He was the rock of our family and he will not be forgotten.
