Georgia Snider Denney, 89, of Longview, TX, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at her home. Georgia was the oldest child of the late George and Freddie M (Schuler) Fleet. She attended East Mountain High School, where she met and then eloped with "that rascal" Joe Snider in 1953. In 1969 the family moved to Dallas, where Georgia obtained her Real Estate License and Broker's License and sold properties in the Dallas area for 30 years before retiring. After Joe's untimely passing in 1975, Georgia met and married Ken Denney on December 22, 1979. Together Ken and Georgia danced across Texas in dance halls across the state, until his passing in 2016.
Georgia is survived by her three children, Carol and her husband, Neal; Dusty and his wife, Dinah and Kelly and her husband, Ron; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; sister, Betty Sheffield, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Freddie Fleet; first husband, Joe Snider; husband, Ken Denney and brothers, Buck Fleet and Vernon Fleet.
Georgia's family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to 3 Oaks Hospice organization, especially Tracey, Krista, Erin and Nakia, for their tender loving care of their mom.
In following her wishes, private services will be held for Mrs. Denney for her family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Georgia's name to the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center.
