Georgia Imburgia Obituary

Georgia V. Imburgia passed away on June 17, 2025, at her home. Georgia V. Imburgia was born on January 10, 1949, to the late August and Grace (Bertram) Imburgia in Wood Dale, Illinois. She graduated from Fenton High School. Upon graduating from high school, she worked as a bartender at the High-Five Lounge, realtor and corporate trainer.
Georgia was a creative person and a natural-born storyteller. She loved to draw, do oil pastels, wood carvings, and all things art. She was a self-taught musician and known for her love of music. She was known for her music collection and blasting Fleetwood Mac (especially Stevie Nicks) on her big, loud stereo system.
Georgia was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her children, Diana (Mauricio) Parra, Ron (Melissa) Imburgia, Jackie Schwager, and Joe (Miranda) Schwager. She leaves endless memories to her grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda), Desmond (Kelsey), Anthony, Gabby (Ethan), Gia, Dominic, Geno, Alex, and Angelo. Her great-grandchildren: Beauden, Barren, Eleanor Grace, and Leonardo.
She is reunited with her loving family, parents August and Grace Imburgia, brothers, Henry and Daniel Imburgia in heaven. Georgia will be missed and forever loved; she made all of her loved ones' lives bright and colorful like the tie-dye shirts she always made and wore.
A memorial service will be held at Geils Funeral Home located at 260 West Irving Park in Wood Dale, Illinois 60191 on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Her remains will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
