Survivors include three brothers, Larry (Paula) Gilbert of Dwight, Mike (Gay) Gilbert of Kankakee and Scott (Candis) Gilbert of Clifton; one son, Jacob Gilbert (fiancée, Danielle Nanus) of Limestone; one daughter, Elizabeth (Tyler) Rasmussen of Clifton; five grandchildren; one step-brother, Jeff (Donna) Gardner of Clifton; one step-sister, Kerry (Bill) Marry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sherry Phillips; and one son, Cory Gilbert.
Jerry enjoyed woodworking and was a union carpenter for Azzarelli 's.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at the Clifton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
