Memorial services for Mr. Jerry Perry, 75, of DeBerry, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the DeBerry Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Wilburn, Kurt and Caroline Nixon officiating. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Mr. Gerald Lynn "Jerry" Perry was born November 19, 1949, in Homer, Louisiana. He passed this life July 6, 2025, in Carthage, Texas. Jerry was one of three children born to the marriage of Thelma Vasti Norris and Otis Alexander Perry. He was raised and schooled in Gibsland, Louisiana Graduating with the High School class of 1968.
Mr. Perry worked as a mold maker in the glass industry for 15 years and spent his last 20 years as a rural postal carrier before his retirement. He was a member of the DeBerry Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, golfing, hunting, camping and hiking. Jerry never met a stranger with his outgoing friendly personality. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Perry is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pam Perry of DeBerry; children, Joey A. Perry and wife Aimie of Lake Village, AR, Crystal Paige Lancaster and husband Jim of Calhoun, LA, Kurt Nixon and wife Caroline of Bossier City, LA, Kristy Fridge and husband Brandon of Gonzales, Sherry Cariss Whitfield and husband Steven of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters, Edna Lane Raner of Atlanta, GA, Leora Kinard of Lewisville, MS; 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
