George Douglas Williams, age 80 of Gulfport, MS passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robinhood Douglas Williams and Carrie Marshall Henry and Ulysses Henry, Sr.; his siblings, Milton Marshall and Jannell Henry.
George is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dorothy Floyd Williams; his children, Samantha Hall, Michelle Green, George Williams III, Angela Payne, Charles Smith Jr., Jean Walker and Cheryl (Terry) Killion; his siblings, Ulysses Henry, Jr. and Lionel Marshall and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Long Beach, Mississippi, he was a proud graduate of Long Beach High School. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Army as a medic. Following his honorable military service, he dedicated over 30 years to caring for fellow veterans through his work at the VA Medical Center in Biloxi.
Pallbearers will be George Williams III, James Buckley, Ulysses Henry, Jr., Robert L. Hall, Robert L. Hall, Jr., and Chasez Hawkins.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave., Biloxi, MS. Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport, is serving the family.
