Giacomo Cimino Obituary

He enjoyed the nightlife of NYC in the 70's, often dancing at night clubs and eating at nice restaurants and was still very fond of those memories. Over the years he enjoyed time with family, trips to Atlantic City, cooking and playing cards. He liked talking to and meeting new people (especially kids) and always remembered names and faces and how they made him feel. He was especially proud when people called him: "Mr. Cimino." More recently he mostly enjoyed being home watching old tv shows and closely following world and local news but looked forward to his weekly trips to Walmart.
Giacomo is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelly Vitale and her husband Anthony, his grandchildren, his brothers Joseph, Mario and Lucio Cimino as well as many nieces and nephews. And his cat, S'mores.
Giacomo was predeceased by his adored wife Patricia Cousins in 2015, his parents Decimo Eduardo and Genovefa (neèGuarnieri) Cimino, his sister Luisa Cimino and brother in law Al Fernandini and niece/godchild Angela Duardo. As we say farewell to Giacomo M. Cimino, we honor a man whose legacy continues through his family; he will be deeply missed by all who knew and cared for him.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Rte 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11:00 am at Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 133 Amboy Rd, Matawan, NJ 07747.
A Graveside Burial will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 12:30pm at Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, 840 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Giacomo M Cimino, please visit our floral store.
