Piney worked alongside her husband as the office manager and bookkeeper of their construction business. She enjoyed attending yard sales, cooking, collecting cookbooks, and canning. She was always willing to take a road trip, especially if there was an ice cream shop on the way.
Piney is survived by her daughters, Mildred (LJ) Christensen, Karen (David) Hassenzahl, Sherma (Todd) Horrocks; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings Jack (Joanne) Keeler, Pat Toolan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman in 2012; daughters Linda Lou Tipton, Rosanna Carr; granddaughter Julie Sherwin Carr; grandson Sherman Alden Throop; son-in-law Stephan Miller; her parents Carl and Treva; and siblings Carl (Janet) Keeler, Jean (Jerry) Anderson, Kay Keeler; brother-in-law, Jack Toolan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11 am at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Riverdale. Interment will follow at Richland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
