Glenda S. Martin, aged 74, of Rome, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025. Born on November 3, 1950, Glenda was a beloved daughter to Thorton and Elvira Green (Watkins), and a cherished sister to her siblings.
She was preceded in death by her brothers-Harvey Lee, Terry, Harold, Billy Joe, and Jimmy Green-and her sisters, Daralene Green and Diane (Green) Donaldson. Glenda will forever be remembered and dearly missed by her surviving brothers, Jackie, Romeo, Daniel, and Tony Green, as well as her sisters, Faye, Angel, Judy, Earnestine, and Emma Green.
Glenda was not just a sister; she was a devoted wife to Joseph L. Martin for 50 wonderful years, and a loving mother to her children, Gia (DeAngelo) and Joseph L. Martin, Jr. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Xavier and Xenia Broadnax, who will remember her with love and warmth.
A true embodiment of kindness, Glenda was always there to offer guidance and support to those around her. Her unwavering faith as a Christian woman shone brightly in her life, illuminating the paths of others and inspiring all who knew her. She embraced life with a joyous spirit and an infectious love of shopping that brought smiles to many.
As we celebrate Glenda's life, we remember her generosity, her laughter, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
