Glenn Louis Borgmeyer, 81, of Collinsville, IL, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 12, 1944, in East St. Louis, IL, Glenn was a proud graduate of Collinsville High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and went on to have a fulfilling career as a computer programmer.
Glenn was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting and fishing. In the 1970s, he was a member of Mike's Drum Pow Wow Group, reflecting his appreciation for music and culture. Above all, Glenn cherished spending time with his family, who meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Madeline (née Slicker) Borgmeyer; his sister, Joan Borgmeyer; and his faithful canine companion, Bud.
Glenn is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jeanette D. (née Lineberger) Borgmeyer, whom he married on September 6, 1969. He is also survived by his three children: Ethan J. Borgmeyer, Taryn A. Borgmeyer, and Ryan L. Borgmeyer.
A private graveside service will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL, and officiated by Father Michael Haag.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Donations will be received at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
