Gloria Corrales Arredondo, 71, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on July 15 at her residence.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Pecos Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00am at Pecos Funeral Home with Pastor Louie Ramon officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Gloria was born in Pecos to Juan and Elidia Corrales on April 16, 1954. She was raised in Marfa, Texas by her beloved grandmother Juanita Torres and attended school there. Gloria married Javier Cardiel Arredondo on December 27, 1972. She worked as a Dietary Aide for the nursing home for several years. She loved to make everyone around her laugh and had jokes that never stopped. She was the life of the party. Gloria loved dancing more than anything and later developed a love for aerobics, in which she later became one of the best aerobics instructors in this small town. She was known to all of her grandkids as Big Mom and loved each and everyone of them with all her heart. Her tortillas were out of this world.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Juan Leyva Corrales and Elidia Torres Mitchell, her grandmother Juanita Torres and her beloved granddaughter Natalia Marisela Arredondo, her sister Pearl Corrales Ramos and her brother John Corrales II.
Gloria is survived by her husband Javier Arredondo, daughters Criselda Marie Arredondo, Cynthia Ann Machuca, Graciela Arredondo Dominguez and Gloria Arredondo Jr., her son’s Javier Arredondo Jr. and Lee Gabriel Arredondo, sisters Maria Elena Rodriguez, Elizabeth Corrales Brooks, Jane Corrales Lopez and brothers John Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Bob Mitchell and Edmundo Corrales, also left to cherish her memory are her 26 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids.
The family of Gloria wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her Hospice Nurse Argelia Prieto and to the Abundant Life Church, Comet Cleaners and everyone who donated to the family.
