Gloria (Critille) Cipolla, wife of the late Dominick (Nick) Cipolla, passed away peacefully May 21, 2025 with her devoted daughter at her side. She passed 94 years and one hour from the day she was born.
Gloria worked many years in the Brookfield school system. Her first position was a "lunch lady." She started her school career in Center School where Mrs. Mishiko taught her to make homemade peanut butter cookies by the thousands.
Next, she moved to the high school where she taught others to make homemade bread. She baked more bread than Lucy Richardo. She always served extra portions to anyone who asked. In 1996 she moved on to a secretarial job at Huckleberry Hill School, where she worked until retirement.
Gloria enjoyed traveling. She and Nick traveled almost all of the United States and enjoyed a few cruises as well. In her later years she settled into knitting and crocheting for loved ones, veterans, the homeless and many disadvantaged students in Waterbury. She was an excellent baker and cook. She was an avid reader of James Patterson's books. She enjoyed spending time at the Brookfield Senior Center, where she partook in arts and crafts, let's talk, puzzles and always in their lunch program.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Mary Pat, Peter (Gina), and daughter in-law Elizabeth. She was predeceased by her loving son Donald (2022).
There are no calling hours. Burial will be at Central Cemetery Brookfield Ct, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Brookfield Senior Center or Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Aunt Gloria was a great person. She welcomed me where ever we met. Our last visit was last year. As always a delight and we will miss her.
