Gloria was born on February 9, 1955, in Lafayette. Gloria was a remarkable woman whose presence radiated warmth and kindness. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life - cooking and sharing delicious meals with family and friends was a particular delight for her.
Her passion for playing Bingo was a testament to her love for socializing. The thrill of the game was always exhilarating for Gloria, but it was the company she kept that truly mattered. With a heart open wide, she fostered friendships that spanned decades, nurturing connections that added so much richness to her life. The joy she derived from spending time with friends and family created a tapestry of shared experiences that will not be easily forgotten.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Cormier (Melton) and Mary Jane Dendy; son, Morris Champagne, Jr.(Holly); sister, Patsy Poirier (Roy); brother, Donald Menard (Rena); grandchildren, Lexie Cherrie (Tylor), Willie Chataignier, Jr., Keerly Champagne (Anthony), Kainnon Champagne (Emily), Kambrie Champagne, Nichelle D. Wallace, Dwayne Dendy, Jason Dendy, Kassie Louviere and Michael Louviere; and her great-grandchildren, Bronx Innis, Beah Innis, Colton Cherrie and Easton Chataignier.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel LeBlanc; parents, Lawrence and Rita Leger Menard; first husband, Morris Champagne, Sr.; sister, Joanne Bihm; brother, Patrick Menard; and a grandchild, Kaleb Anthony Wiltz.
Pallbearers will be Kainnon Champagne, Willie Chataignier, Jr., Roy Poirier, Dustin Menard, Brody Poirier, and Michael Louviere.
