Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we are gathered in spirit to commemorate the homegoing of a true servant of the Lord, Sister Gloria Morales. Born on the 19th of February in the year of our Lord 1950, in the coastal haven of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gloria was a beacon of His light in this world, until her peaceful return to the Father's embrace on the 10th of December, 2024, in the same city that first cradled her.
Sister Gloria was a lifelong nurturer, not only to her cherished children-Margaret, Ray Jr., Ruby, Lee, Steve, and Randy-but also to the countless souls she cared for as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a vocation she faithfully fulfilled for over four decades. Her love also extended to her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren to whom she had a relationship with each one, her devoted brothers, her sisters, and the vast fellowship of family and friends who were blessed to know her.
The Lord tells us, "Well done, good and faithful servant," and indeed, Sister Gloria lived a life worthy of such divine accolades. She walked this earth with a faith-filled heart, her hands ever extended in kindness, her spirit generous beyond measure. Her days were a living testament to the love of Jesus, as she ministered to those around her, whether within the sacred walls of her church or out in the wider community.
Traveling was a joy for Gloria, not just for the beauty of God's creation she witnessed, but for the opportunity to spread His word and love along the way. Each new place was a mission field, each new face a chance to share the gospel. Her journey through life was a long amen, an affirmation of her unshakeable belief in the Almighty.
It was in her nature to befriend, to embrace, to uplift. Gloria's presence was a comfort, her words a balm, her prayers a fortress for those in need. In her, many found a confidante, a mentor, a friend as steadfast as the Rock of Ages. In the words of the great evangelist Billy Graham, "My home is in Heaven. I'm just traveling through this world." Sister Gloria lived by this truth, her eyes fixed on the eternal, even as she served with both feet firmly planted on the ground. Her legacy is not one of earthly treasures but of love sown and reaped, of faith shared, of lives touched by the hand of God through her. As we bid farewell to Sister Gloria Morales, let us not dwell in the shadow of grief but rejoice in the knowledge that she has been called to her eternal reward. While we shall miss her dearly, we take solace in the promise of our Savior, that in His Father's house are many mansions, and we believe by faith that Gloria has now taken up residence in hers.
May her memory be for us a guiding star, leading us ever closer to the path of righteousness. We celebrate her life, a well-lived sermon of compassion and grace, and we commend her spirit to the One who gave it, trusting that in His presence, she will find everlasting joy.
Let us carry forward the light of Gloria Morales, shining it into the dark corners of this world, just as she did. In doing so, we honor her, we glorify God, and we affirm the hope of glory that is our inheritance as children of the King. Amen.

Gloria was a very special lady in Christ. She knew how to spread the gospel to anyone. She was never afraid to talk about her Lord and savior. Very caring person. She took care of my parents, my mother loved her some much. She was a very happy go lucky person.
