Greg Tabor, age 64, of Scottsville, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. As a Scottsville native, Greg was a proud farmer for many years with his father on the Tabor farm, a founding member of the Halifax Volunteer Fire Department, Master Conservationist, a Kentucky Colonel and a board member of Southern States. These honors reflected his deep commitment to his community and heritage. Greg's love for mules began early in life. At just three years old, he showed his first mule at the Tennessee State Fair, beginning a lifelong passion for showing mules across seven states, which he especially enjoyed with his father and wife. His career in the show ring brought him great joy through the years. More than anything, Greg was a man of deep faith. As a young boy, he was saved while lying in bed at home. He was a devoted member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon. He was the beloved son of the late L. C. Tabor and Mildred Welch Tabor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years: Teresa Long Tabor, Scottsville, KY;

2 sisters: Gail Pippin, Campbellsville, KY and Kathy Harston and husband, Jimmy, Scottsville, KY;

Several cherished nieces and nephews.

Greg will be remembered for his dedication to his faith, family, farming and community.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Harston and Bro. Charles Ausbrooks officiating and burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery.
