Gregory Kish Obituary

Gregory E. Kish, of Milltown passed away on Wednesday, May 7th at home. He was 83.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Born and raised in New Brunswick, he also lived in North Brunswick before moving to Milltown in 1972.
Gregory worked as an Engineer for New Jersey Bell, later Verizon in North Brunswick, and was a member of the Association of BellTel Retirees.
He also served in the US Army National Guard in the mid-1960s.
He collected black powder guns and was a member of the Citizens' Rifle and Revolver Club (CRRC). He also enjoyed going to the Recoil Shooting Range and the Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club with his brother and son.
He was skilled at handcrafting knives and sheaths. He served as an Assistant Scoutmaster for the Troop 11 Boy Scouts in Milltown for twelve years, and was District Commissioner, receiving the District Award of Merit.
He is predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Alice Kish; and sister, Alice Golden.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Marie (nee' Puleio); sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Eileen Kish of North Brunswick, Robert and Doreen Kish of Chatham and Kevin and Colleen Kish of South Brunswick; brothers, Gene Kish of East Brunswick and Tom and Bill Kish, both of North Brunswick; and three grandsons, Ryan and Ian Kish, and Joseph Nagy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 12th from 3 to 7 PM at the GLEASON FUNERAL HOME of NORTH BRUNSWICK, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, 9 AM at the funeral home with a 10 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church, New Brunswick. Entombment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jamesburg.
