WILLS POINT - Gwen M. (Sonny) Brodie was born March 19, 1933, in Wright City, Oklahoma, and passed away on February 12, 2025, at home. His final moments were with June, his wife of 69 years.
Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Normandale Baptist Church, 2001 Chapel Creek Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76108; interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, County Road 160, Bluffdale, Texas 76433.
Sonny was retired from Bell Helicopter. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved football, hunting, fishing, and gardening, and who also traveled the world.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joyce Schubert, and husband, Scott, of Dallas; sister, Virginia Lewis, of California; beloved niece, Julie Nabors, and husband, Kelly, residing in Wills Point; great-nephew, Michael Bell, of Forney; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He will be in our hearts forever.
