Harriet Marie Deck, age 71, of Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Covington on May 14, 1954, Harriet was the cherished daughter of the late Doc Abdon and Anna Mae Botkin. Harriet's life was marked by deep love for her family, strong faith, and a warm, enduring spirit. She found joy in the simple pleasures-listening to country music, long chats on the phone, reading her Bible and Bible Pathways, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her kindness and strength touched the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allen Deck; her sons, Neil Stephens, Travis Stephens Sr. and Allen David Deck; and her great-granddaughter, Alaylah King. Though her loss is deeply felt, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Harriet is survived by her devoted daughters, Tracy Souder and Patricia Gray; her brothers, Jimmy Hudson, Charlie Trapp, Don Abdon and Lee Trapp; and her sisters, Millie Goodfriend, Debbie Akin, and Bev Gibson. She was a proud grandmother to Stephanie Beckerich, Trevor Stewart, Doris Racke, Gregory Racke, Emily Stewart, Joshua Gray, Brandon Robertson, Brittany Robinson, Travis Stephens Jr., Tracy Stephens, Brandee Stephens, Samantha Cooper, Amanda Smith, Gabriel Deck, and Micah Deck. Harriet also leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 38 great-grandchildren. Her family and friends will forever remember her generous heart, unwavering faith, and boundless love. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 4101.
