On July 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, Heather (Lambert) Decker died peacefully at home following a courageous battle with cancer.

Heather was born in Morrisville on Jan. 12, 1973, to Ted Lambert, Jr. and Margaret "Peg" Demars. Heather graduated from Peoples Academy in 1991. Heather was a dear wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend. Heather worked at Brooks Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician for many years before starting a career at the Union Bank, where she worked in various departments for years. During Heather's illness, everyone at the bank was so incredibly generous, supportive and understanding as she navigated her treatments and surgeries.

On August 27, 2005, Heather married Gordon Decker and they made their home on Woods Edge Road where they've lived ever since. Heather had an amazing style and a smile that would light up a room. She was a master yard saleswoman and bargain hunter, proudly sharing stories of her latest finds to anyone who would listen. She was a great cook and baker, and she took so much pleasure in sharing her love of food with those around her. Many family gatherings were kicked up a notch by one of Heather's decadent desserts. She had a special place in her heart for the kids in the family. Many will never forget the Easter egg decorating, cookie baking, s'more making and sleepovers at 'Feefer's.' Heather was a strong supporter of the Lamoille Area Cancer Network long before she was diagnosed with cancer herself. She was a steadfast volunteer each year, helping wherever needed. The Lamoille Area Cancer Network was tremendously supportive of her throughout her treatments, both with financial assistance and the loving support of its members.

Heather is survived by her husband, Gordon Decker, his sons, Craig and James and their families; her parents, Ted (Kim) Lambert, Jr. and Margaret "Peg" (Sonny) Demars; her sisters, Maria (Chip) Berry and Ava Lambert; her nephew and nieces, Michael Berry, Meredith Lloyd and Kathleen Heinz and their families; and her godson, Silas Sandshaw. Heather also has a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a tremendous community of friends. Heather's family would like to acknowledge the incredible care Heather received by the doctors, nurses and staff at Copley Hospital, UVM and Lamoille Home Health and Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the home of Sonny and Peg Demars, 198 Farr Avenue, Morrisville, on Friday, July 25, at 3 p.m. Heather loved vibrant colors and bold patterns so please wear colorful attire. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, P.O. Box 828, Morrisville, VT 05661, or Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Avenue, Morrisville, VT 05661.
