Helen Lily Wicher, of League City, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025 at her home in League City, Texas at the age of 52. She was born on July 4, 1973 in Edmonton, Alberta Canada to Saviour and Kate Mary Gonzi.
Helen found deep joy in life's quiet and breathtaking moments, especially in the splendor of sunrises and sunsets. No matter how full her schedule was, she would often pause during her commute to take in the beauty of the sky, capturing it in photos and marveling at the wonder of God's creation.
Her love for her family was profound and unwavering. She adored her mother, stepfather, father, and brother, considering them the most treasured part of her life. The bond she shared with her mother was especially close; not a day passed without a call or text between them, a simple ritual that spoke volumes about her devotion.
Helen's adventurous spirit was unmistakable. She embraced travel whenever the opportunity arose, approaching each new place and experience with enthusiasm and boldness. She also had a deep passion for fashion, so much so that she transformed an entire room in her home into a walk-in wardrobe, carefully curating a collection that reflected her vibrant style and personality.
Generosity was second nature to Helen. She gave freely and often, always seeking ways to support those in need. Her kindness extended to animals as well, especially cats. She lovingly built a custom "kitty condo" in her home, complete with hammocks and climbing towers, ensuring her feline companions were always living comfortably.
Professionally, Helen was a powerhouse. As a Cost Subject Matter Expert, she was precise, intelligent, and highly respected. Her dedication and skill left a lasting impression on colleagues and collaborators alike.
Helen's light shone brightly in everything she did. She will be deeply missed, but her warmth, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her Father Saviour Gonzi, Mother & Step Father Kate Mary Gonzi and Maurice Gervais, Brother and Sister-In-Law John and Iris Gonzi, Special Friend Daniel Jacobs and many loving work family and friends.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:00pm with a Ceremony at 3 o'clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573 with Deacon Russ Carroll presiding.
Helen lived a vibrant and loving life, filled with laughter, joy, and deep compassion for others. Her passing is a profound reminder that many carry silent struggles, often unseen. In honoring her life, her family encourages open-hearted conversations around mental health and urges others to lead with kindness. While they have chosen not to focus on the manner of her passing, they ask for your understanding and respect during this difficult time.

I´ve known you for most of my life, we grew up and you moved away. I always thought we would see each other again when you come back to visit, I would´ve never imagined that would never have the opportunity to see you again. I´ll always cherish the memories we have growing up together. My prayers are with you to have a safe journey up to heaven to be with the rest of the angels. My deepest heartfelt condolences to your family in this sorrowful time of loss.

I did not have the honour to meet Helen, but have heard her spoken of in warmest ways.
I am saddened to hear of this loss.

May our Lord and Saviour of all comfort and compassion wrap Himself around Helen's family and friends for the difficult days ahead and always.

And may her love and memory shine warm and brightly upon you in each sunrise and sunset you behold.

My deepest condolences.

God bless,
Tera H. Edmonton Alberta Canada
