With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Herb Coronado, a proud Georgetown native whose life was marked by love, faith, and unwavering Texas pride. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 5,2025, leaving behind a legacy built on devotion, integrity, and kindness.
Born in Hardin, Montana and raised in Georgetown, Texas, Herb was a graduate of Georgetown High School and a true son of this community. He grew up in the St. Helen Catholic Church, where his journey of faith began. As a young altar server, he developed a deep spiritual foundation that guided him throughout his life. His faith was quiet but steadfast-evident in the values he lived by and the lessons he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Through his words and actions, he taught them the importance of compassion, honesty, and grace.
Professionally, Herb dedicated over 30 years to IBM, where his work in the field of technology earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. After his retirement, he continued his career with Dell Computers, bringing with him the same work ethic and innovation that had defined his time in the industry.
Herb was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ramona, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and faith. He was a proud father to his daughters-Erica, Nicole and Valerie-and a cherished grandfather to Miranda, Aaron, Rex and Christian whose guidance and humor will be remembered.
A loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns, he cheered every game with unmatched enthusiasm, always clad in burnt orange. He had a passion for barbecue and a gift for bringing people together over good food and heartfelt stories. When not behind the grill, you could find him on the open road, riding his Harley through the Texas Hill Country with the wind at his back and peace in his soul.
Herb is survived by his loving wife, Ramona, his daughters Erica and husband Zachary Gil, Nicole and husband Mario Zavala and Valerie and husband Rene Silva; his adored grandchildren, and a wide circle of friends and extended family who will carry forward his memory and his example.
He was a man of quiet strength and enduring faith-an example of how to live humbly, love deeply, and walk the path of life with integrity. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Georgetown, TX. In lieu of flowers the family asks to simply honor him by spending time with those you love, enjoying a plate of barbecue, or watching a Longhorn game in his memory.
Hook 'em, Dad. We love you.
