Hershell Sidney Scott 83 of Maplesville passed away July 26, 2025 at Arabella Nursing Home in Selma Alabama. He was born September 25, 1941 the son of Elmer and Lucinda Scott. Sidney loved Alabama football, fishing and old western movies. After the passing of his wife of 54 years on June 6, 2025 he grieved longing to be with her again.
He is survived by his daughters Sandra (Tim) Andrew’s, Marie (Shane) Brasher, grandkids Shae (Colby) Morrison, Lane (Kendall) Hicks, Trey (Hannah) Hicks, Carleigh Andrews, Reese Brasher, Harley Brasher, Noah Brasher, and 4 great grands Seth, Axl, Harper, and Blakely. Sister Glenda Cleckler, brothers Doug (Opal) Scott, and Earl Scott and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Lucinda Scott, and siblings Dorothy, Howard, Wayne, and Lorene.
There will be no service. The family will be spreading his ashes at his favorite fishing spot
