Holly Elggren Stapley continued into her next life, February 1, 2025, in Cave Creek, Arizona.
She came into the family of Allen and Linda (Shingleton) Elggren on December 15, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is the 4th of 7 children. She graduated from Alta High, Snow College, and the University of Utah.
Holly danced her way through life, making many friends along the way. She loved dancing, horses, competing on stage and in arenas. Most of all she loved her family. She touched many lives with her unique sense of humor. Holly is missed by all that knew her.
She is admired for the grace and strength that she showed her family and friends while fighting her battle with cancer. She is a blessing to all those who love her. Holly's nickname was "surprise" and it fits her so well, because you never knew what you would get when you encountered her. She would always put a smile on your face and touched the hearts of everyone she met. Holly was the type of person you fell in love with the first time you met her. With her contagious smile and ability to make a whole room of strangers laugh, there was never a dull moment with her around. She loved and protected every person she ever met with no questions asked, that was just the type of person Holly was.
She is survived by her loving husband, Derrick Stapley, children Gavin T. Stapley, Riley K. Stapley, and Brock D. Stapley all of Cave Creek, Arizona. Also, by her brother and sister-in-law Todd (Darci) Stapley and Sheri (Bret) Rackham, parents Allen and Linda Elggren, and siblings Christa Willcuts, Dan (Allison) Elggren, David Elggren and Kari (Chris) Campbell.
She is preceded in death by father and mother-in-law, Diane Stapley, Hal Stapley and brother-in-law Jeff Stapley and brothers Ken Elggren, Donn Elggren.
A Celebration of the Life of Holly will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be sent to the following institutes, The battle of cancer affects us all and the more that we can do to help those fighting cancer is greatly appreciated by the Stapley Family: Barrow Neurological Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Holly was the easiest friend to have. I recall when both of our daughters, Riley and Alyssa, went to kindergarten. I had dark sunglasses on because I had been crying. She joked and teased me to take them off, that she knew I was crying under them. She had that beautiful Holly smile on. Her white teeth perfectly gleaming with that gentle look. She wanted to cheer me up. She said "Why are you crying? This is great, you can go home and do anything you want." She knew how to make an emotional day feel light. We had so many wonderful times together from our boys being close friends in early grade school, to our daughters doing sleep overs and my favorite were our girls trip. We went to so many fun places from Mexico, New York City and California just to name a few. We shared so many laughs playing bunko or back to school parties at Jen´s. This photo below is one of so many fun moment on a girls trip to California where we shared a fish bowl together just one of a million memories. Holly´s joy is all around us and in us and I will forever treasure her beautiful friendship!
