Howard Thibodeaux Obituary

Howard Thibodeaux, Jr. passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the age of 68. A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Eavers officiating. At the request of family, visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Being raised in a military family, Howie was inspired to join the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He was an Aviation Boatsman's Mate/Aircraft Mechanic, where his fascination of aviation began. Howie then planted his roots in Lake Charles, La, where he started a family and his career at Grumman Aviation. He was also a man of God and attended Glad Tidings Church faithfully. Howie had a very outgoing personality, which was evident in his love for life, music, cooking, camping, bike riding on the trails and gatherings with family and friends. Howard is survived by three sons, Caleb Thibodeaux, Paige Tribble and Brendan Schwemm; three sisters, Michelle Thibodeaux, Jackie Thibodeaux and Gayle Bult and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Derrick Thibodeaux; his parents, Howard Thibodeaux, Sr. and Pearl Stutes Thibodeaux; one brother, Kent Thibodeaux. The family would like to express special thanks to Southwest Louisiana Veteran's Home, Valley View Nursing Home, Audubon Hospice and Guardian Hospice.
