Mr. Hugh Dorsey Robinson, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, at the age of 85.
Mr. Robinson was born on July 18, 1939, in Scott County, Mississippi, to Elbert Morris Robinson and Lona Mae Bates Robinson. He served his country in the United States Army in the 1960s and spent his working life as a factory worker on assembly lines. He married Evelyn Louise Harvey on October 12, 1962, and together they had three children. Mr. Robinson enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar and singing, and he was a member of the former Crossview Baptist Church in Brandon. Above all, he cherished his family and loved his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, Hugh Scott Robinson; parents, Elbert and Lona Robinson; and seven siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Harvey Robinson; children, Ronnie Joe Robinson (Lisa) and Sharon Kay Moore (Robbie); grandchildren, Matthew Robinson (Stevie), Brady Moore, and Haley Roberts (Charlie); and great grandchildren, Rowan and Riley Robinson and Brooks Roberts.
Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon with the funeral service beginning in the chapel at noon. The burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
