Hunter Fredrick Warthan also known as "Smidge" or "Uncle Pidge" age 24 of Spencer, IN passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Bloomington, Indiana. Hunter was born January 19, 2001 in Bloomington Indiana, to Regina (Hunter) Bland of Spencer and Shane Warthan of Gosport
Hunter grew up showing livestock in 4H, and racing four wheelers in both flat track and woods races. He had a passion for racing like no other and pursued his dreams with all of his heart and soul. He loved spending time with family and his friends whom he considered family. He was a very giving person and would help anyone in need and had a passion for helping youth racers.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Vicki Lee Hunter and his grandparents Ronald and Nancy Warthan. He is survived by his mother Regina (Bill) Bland; father, Shane Warthan; brothers, Shane Warthan Jr. (Casey Starnes), Travis Warthan and Levi Warthan; grandpa, Fred (Kathy) Hunter as well as nephews Jayden and Memphis Warthan, Deyn Shirley, and niece Oaklyn Feltner. As well as many friends he considered his family as well.
Services will be at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2025 2:00 pm til 6:00 pm at the funeral home. The funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2025 at 1:00 pm and will be officiated by Scott Langley. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington, IN.
