Mass of Christian Burial for Ignacio and Israel Aguillon will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi. Interment to follow at Enon Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Wednesday, at McWhorter Funeral Home.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Ignacio Aguillon, age 53, and his beloved son, Israel Aguillon, age 11, both of Gilmer, Texas. Father and son lost their lives together on July 6, 2025, in a devastating automobile accident.
Ignacio was born on February 11, 1972, in Guanajuato, Mexico. A devoted husband, father, and hardworking man, Ignacio spent his life working in ranch construction, where he was known as a skilled fence builder. He lived a life marked by dedication and love for his family.
Israel was born on June 4, 2014, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Israel brought joy to everyone around him, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Those Left to Survive include Ignacio's loving wife and Israel's mother, Ana Cecilia Garcia; daughters and sisters Ana Patricia Aguillon, Leticia Aguillon, and Carina Aguillon; son and brother Misael Aguillon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Ignacio is also survived by his brothers Angel Aguillon, Martin Aguillon, Elpidio Aguillon, and Joaquín Aguillon; and sisters Agustina Aguillon, Lidia Aguillon, Lucia Aguillon, Llolanda Aguillon, Marisela Aguillon, Guadalupe Aguillon, and María Aguillon.
