Benson, NC: Mrs. Ilee McLamb Lucas, age 98 passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Monday, May 19, 2025 in The New Life Pentecostal Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Lucas. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum in Benson.
Mrs. Lucas was born on July 10, 1926 in Johnston County to the late Almond and Varah Turnage McLamb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lucas; her son, Robert Edward Lucas; a grandson, Jonathan Lucas; a great-grandson, Adam Ray McLean and her siblings, Irene Warren, Gerald McLamb, Redding McLamb, Eva Hudson, Elma Carmichael, Gardner McLamb, Ruth Benson, Leta Gold Lee, Stacy McLamb, and Leonard McLamb. She retired as owner and operator of Sunshine Daycare Center. Mrs. Lucas was a homemaker and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church. Her passion in life was serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loving all of her family deeply.
Surviving are her children, Carolyn L Wiggins, JoAnn L. Jones and husband, Mickey, Gail L. Parker and husband, Dale, Evelyn L. Barbour and husband, Tim, Rev. Randy Lucas and wife, Judy, and Roger L. Lucas and wife, Jan all of Benson; grandchildren, Kim Gilbert, Stephanie Wiggins, Amber Atkinson, Elizabeth Salem, Michael Lucas, Amanda Reardon, Karen Bagnulo, Bryan Parker, Daniel Parker, Davida McLamb, and Caleb Lucas; nineteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to The New Life Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 97 Benson, NC 27504.
