Iris Elizabeth Adams, 90, of
Tomball, Texas and Lake Stevens, Washington. A devoted and loving wife, mom, nana and great-nana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday. July 5, 2025.
Iris was born on September 9, 1934, in Everett, Washington to Clifford and Marie Baldwin. Growing up in Everett, she graduated from Everett High School in 1953, continuing her education at Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, California. Majoring in Christian Education and minoring in Sign Language.
Iris was a devoted member of Bethany Temple Assembly of God in Everett and later in at Lake Stevens Assembly where she used her degree in Christian Education as a Sunday School teacher and a Missionette leader, later becoming the Missionette Coordinator. She was also very much involved in the music ministry, singing in the choir and playing her accordion. She also used her sign language degree as an interpreter to the deaf community.
Iris served in several different ministries in the church. She loved giving of herself and being there for others. Of there was an event going on, you would find her helping in the kitchen. She was also on the committee for the Second Chance Heart Club of Seattle, which she and our dad were members of.
During her life, she worked at Scott Paper Company, Everett Trust and Savings and in Early Childhood Education. Besides being a dedicated friend, she was a loving wife and mother.
Iris married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Adams Sr,. September 9. 1961, in Everett. Washington, together they had 4 children: Kathleen, Debbie, Chuck and Jeffrey.
After Chuck's passing in 1989, Iris remained devoted, working hard with her church and spending time enjoying her grandkids. She also loved her Seattle Seahawks! In 2012 she moved to
Tomball, Texas where she enjoyed her remaining retirement surrounded by family and church friends, whom she loved dearly.
Iris was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Adams and her parents Clifford Baldwin and mother, Marie Baldwin.
Iris is survived by her children: Kathleen Adams, Debbie (Troy) Vaughn, of
Tomball, TX. Chuck Adams, Jr. (Laura), of Leavenworth, WA, and Jeff Adams of Everett, WA. Her grandkids; Amber (Michael) Grayson, Kayla (Mark) Wadsworth, Starla (Duncan) Cannon, Anthony (Heidi) Vaughn, Tara (Derek) Straubie, Justin Adams, Alexus Adams, Samantha Adams, Jessica Buck, Zechariah Adams, Oscar Adams and Alexis Temko, as well as 13 great grandkids. Her brothers, Doug Baldwin of Marysville, WA, and Larry (Dianna) Baldwin of Arlington, WA.
A viewing will be held Friday, July 12, 2025, from 5-8pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main St.
Tomball, TX 77375.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2025, at 11am, at Equip Church, 1101 W. Main St.
Tomball, TX 77375, Officiated by Pastor Greg Jenkins.
At a later date, we will have a Celebration of Life Service at Lake Stevens Assembly of God, in Lake Stevens, WA when we place mom to rest alongside our dad.
The family wants to extend a special thanks to Capstone Home Health & Hospice of Houston for going above and beyond for the care of our mom. Their dedication, support and commitment given to mom during these past few months will never be forgotten. They brought joy and brightness ot her days, and we can't thank them enough.
